Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement for Tarot with DreamaLynn

At Tarot with DreamaLynn, based in the beautiful state of Alaska, I am committed to making my tarot readings accessible to everyone. I believe that all individuals should have the opportunity to engage with and benefit from the insights tarot can offer.

Online Content:

  • Platform Accessibility: My tarot readings are shared on the following platforms:

    • YouTube: YouTube provides automatically generated and user-uploaded closed captions. You can typically enable these by clicking the "CC" button on the video player. YouTube is also generally navigable with keyboard shortcuts and screen readers.

    • Instagram: Instagram offers automatically generated captions for Stories and Reels. For in-feed video posts, I utilize the platform's captioning features. Instagram is also designed to be navigable with screen readers.

    • Threads: Threads, being linked to Instagram, offers similar accessibility features, including alt text for images and captioning for videos.

    • Facebook: Facebook provides automatically generated captions for live and uploaded videos. Users can usually turn these on/off within the video player settings. Facebook also supports screen readers and keyboard navigation.

  • Subtitles: All spoken content in my tarot readings is in English, and subtitles are available through the native captioning features of each platform. Please ensure that the closed captions/subtitles are enabled within the settings of the video player on your chosen platform.

Communication Accessibility:

  • Language: All readings are conducted and presented in English.

  • Visual Descriptions: While the visual element of the tarot cards is central, I strive to describe key visual aspects during the readings to provide context for those with visual impairments.

  • Clear Communication: I aim to speak clearly and at a moderate pace in my videos. If you find the pace too fast, most platforms offer playback speed controls.

Sensory Accessibility:

  • Visual Content: The tarot readings involve visual elements (the cards). I aim to present them clearly on screen. For individuals with visual sensitivities, please be aware that the videos will contain these visual elements.

  • Auditory Content: The primary content is auditory. Please ensure your device's audio settings are adjusted to your comfort level. Subtitles are provided for the spoken content.

Cognitive Accessibility:

  • Clear Explanations: I endeavor to explain the card meanings and overall messages in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.

  • Repetition and Summaries: Where appropriate, I may reiterate key points to aid comprehension.

Feedback and Ongoing Improvement:

  • I am always looking for ways to improve the accessibility of my content. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly via direct message on any of the platforms where you find my work (YouTube, Instagram, Threads, or Facebook). Your feedback is valuable!

Thank you for engaging with Tarot with DreamaLynn. I hope these readings provide insight and guidance for everyone.
